Mindful Ramblings
No, in a good way.

I'm looking forward to this St. Paddy's Day. I'm not Irish, nor am I normally much of a drinker, but I plan to get totally ripped Wednesday night.

I'm going to see a few friends I haven't seen in too long, and plan to weasel at least one beer each out of em. Add that to the ones I'll be buying myself, and I'll be in the clear (or fuzzy, depending on how you look at it)! Naturally, I'll have to buy some beers for other people, because that's the way karma flows.

I was going to leave tonight after work, but my back started wiggin out on me, and getting all stiff and twitchy and stuff, and the prospect of driving 3 1/2 hours in the dark with a twitchy back oddly didn't appeal to me. Plus, I would probably have fallen asleep at the wheel. So I'll head down early tomorrow...early meaning around 8:30. I don't remember the last time I woke up at 8:00 when I wasn't forced to. Perhaps this will be a new side for me.

I'll definitely have to find something green to wear...perhaps even some temporary red hair dye? Could be in the books.

Here's to being Irish for a day!

Yeah, go red! How temporary do you want your hair color to be?

If you want a wash- in -wash -out kinda deal I'd go with a spray -in kind, you can get them at drugstores. If you want something that lasts a bit longer (like 2 weeks or more) then 'Manic Panic' is the way to go.

Be warned tho, if you're blonde you're gonna be stuck with the color...perhaps even permanently (not applicable for the spray- in kind)..and never, ever color your hair with Koolaide ...it won't wash out.

There, that's my beauty advice for today. If you do it, post some pics so we can see how ya looked!

Unfairman! you're such an alchi... first aboard the Scurvy Buttercup, and now here...

hope you have a good St Patty's day. Somehow I don't think i'll be doing much in the way of drinking, so I'll be counting on you to drink my share...

I'll have to celebrate vicariously too. Middle of the work/school week. Family hasn't been feeling the healthiest either. I am a little bummed that we have absolutely no plans. Our friends used to have a nice St Pat's party every year.

Have a great time lad!

Well I think I'm probably going to be one of the people you're attempting to weasel drinks out of...I'll have to consult the wallet for that one. But regardless I'll bring a flask full of Jag we can sneak sips of in laboratory.

What do you mean you're not Irish? I thought you had at least a 1/4 in ya...aren't those red beard hairs? Or, if you want someone who's a 1/4 Irish in you, then maybe we can work something out on Wed.......eww.

Y'know, come to think of it, Ted, I think I'm like an 8th Irish or something. Good enough to drink for!

I dunno if I can handle all the pressure of celbrating for 4 people, but I'm damn well gonna try!
